tayenebe Tasmanian Aboriginal women’s fibre work exhibition, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery
Project description
tayenebe is a travelling exhibition of baskets made by Tasmanian Aboriginal women. It was designed using “design for sustainability” principles. The structures were completely knockdown using furniture bolts and threaded inserts. Because the cabinets were curved, acrylic faces of only 3mm thickness were used. The cabinets can be assembled in a variety of configurations to suit the various sites.
